Such plants have also other benefits, some are good in herbal values and many are floral and decorative; it is like one plus one.

BASIL is a famous plant. It is useful in the variety of salads and soups. It is also known in herbal values; repels mosquitoes, carrot flies, whitefly, asparagus beetle, and flies. This herbal plant is an outdoor one that is good to place in passageways and lawns. You can make a repellent spray by grinding some basil leaves in 2 cups of water.

LEMONGRASS is also good to repel mosquitoes. It has a natural oil called Citronella that has the qualities to repel insects. This oil is also used in various items like candle etc. It is also an outdoor plant that can be grown in pots and containers as well. LEMON BALM, LEMON THYME  are both effective to get rid of mosquitoes.
