Another way is drip feeding. In this way use drip irrigation set and filled with liquid fertilizer in its bottle. Now put the needle deep in the soil and 2-3 inches away from the stem. This will feed the fertilizers directly to the roots.
Apart from pots and containers, you can enhance the method for large cultivations.
There are others following types of chemical fertilizers available for large fields and cultivation. These are mostly not meant for kitchen gardens.

DRY/POWDERY/GRANULAR FERTILIZER USAGE
Fertilizer usage in a kitchen garden is an important job to do. When applying fertilizers in a row, container, pot or lawn; you should follow some tips that will absolutely help you to get best results. Either it is dry, powdery or granular fertilizer, you can scatter it in the same way. There is not much difference in their usage.- While preparing the container or lawn for plantation put the fertilizer 1-2 inches below the seed or plants.
- Always keep a distance of 2 inches from stem sides
- After watering the pots and plants, take a look and remove the particles of fertilizers left at stem or leaves. If not removed properly, it can damage the plant.
- Do not apply fertilizers when foliage is wet; wait until dry.
LIQUID OR WATERY FERTILIZER USAGE
There are many water-based fertilizers, easily available in the market. These are kind of booster to plants. It works easily, quickly and thoroughly. Some of them are to apply in the soil, while various contain zinc and iron for foliage strength. You can also make your own liquid fertilizer at home. All you need to mix the NPK and DAP into the water as per requirement and sprinkle it with spray bottle or container at the soil near roots.
