COCONUT WITH ITS MANY BENEFITS

Hi, my encouraging and supportive readers and viewers,

After a long break, I am back again and want to share what comes instantly in my mind. So, a refreshing and energizing coconut is a good start according to me. Let's start.

COCONUT

Copra, cocoa, coconut, Khopra, coconut Palm and Nareal are the other famous named of Coconut. Botanically coconut tree is from the palm family (Arecaceae). While its scientific name is “Cocos Nucifera”. It is also known for its unlimited qualities for health and beauty of human being.

Generally, the origin of the coconut tree is not specified but historically it is related to Indonesia and Indian Territory. It likes tropical weather and mostly found near the oceans and on the islands. Its seed travels along the oceans anywhere and settles down where find a suitable atmosphere. It is considered that its seed can travel more than 3000 miles and still can be good to germinate. Due to the fact, it is really difficult to relate it to any specific territory.

Coconut tree can be grown in both topic and sub-tropic areas. Its tree has a good height that reaches to 25-30 meters (Max 99 feet) with good nutrient conditions of soil and atmosphere. Generally, it gives its first fruit after six to seven years of its cultivation. After 20-25 years it reaches its bloom and gives the best that can be 60-70 fruits per year. It has a fibrous root system. 

The coconut tree is a source of a few very useful products i.e. coconut flesh, coconut water, coconut milk, coconut peat, and husk etc. Here we are going to mention a few of the benefits that are well known and approved by various researches.

•    It contains all the necessary vitamins and nutrients for health
•    Coconut milk is a rich and effective tonic for skin care that reduces spots and acne
•    It is lactose-free and can be replaced from traditional Cow milk, especially to those who have a lactose problem
•    When we place this milk overnight in a refrigerator, it forms a thick layer that finally led to extract coconut oil out of it.
•    By evaporating the coconut milk, a protein enriched powder can be made that is the good source of herbal protein to build muscles.

COCONUT OIL

•    It is edible and excellent for cooking
•    Coconut oil is low in cholesterol
•    It contains good cholesterol that helps to reduce weight
•    Gives strength to muscles when massaged
•    Brighten the skin as a massage oil

Coconut leftovers are also valuable in many ways. This is not only good for animals but also can be used for plants and kitchen gardening.

•    Coconut peat and coir are two useful products to lighten the soiling medium that helps to retain and drain water in a very effective way.
•    It has capabilities to take care of new seeds to let it grow in a good way.
•    Coconut husk, peat, and coir can also be added as an operational medium to make compost.
•    Gardening sticks can be made with the coir of coconut to stabilizing the delicate plants and veins.
•    kokedama pots can also be formed with the help of coconut coir and peat as they keep the soil moist for a longer period.

FOR ANIMAL

•    Leftovers like peals or husk after extracting coconut oil can be a good meal for animals and birds like cows, buffaloes, and hens.
•    Its husk could be a good vitamin enriched component to get quality milk from animals.
•    Coconut coir is excellent to make a laying bed for pets like parakeets, cats, and dogs.
