KITCHEN GARDENING AID

(Kitchen Garden Precautions)

KITCHEN GARDEN AID

Here is the kitchen garden aid before starting a domestic one. The necessary step to start is precautions. Kitchen gardening precautions are really necessary before starting it. These are everywhere; we build our houses with a lot of money and devotion. Even rented houses require maintenance, so we should care while starting this brilliant time pass.

  • Pots should be placed in a space where you can take care of them easily.

Kitchen Garden Precautions
Plastic base plates
  • Place few Plastic, metallic or clay plates according to the size of pots at the base of each pot. Clay pots often leave their material due to seepage in the powdery form. This material gathers under the pot and makes your floor dirty and dull. According to my experience, plastic plates of good material are a good solution to it.

  • Keep an eye on seepage, as it all require almost every day watering and it can damage the floor, walls, and surroundings. If you are starting a new lawn then ask your builder to protect the boundaries with an anti-seepage material. These materials are easily available in the market. You can protect it yourself by making a tight and thick coating of cement, inside your lawn boundaries.

  • You should keep your pots, lawn, and containers clean and tidy. No residue should remain except fertilizer or compost as it will help to grow insects, flies, and mosquitoes.

  • It can be observed that there are many self-grown plants are appearing at the surface of the soil. These are called weeds, they appear everywhere either it is a pot or your lawn. These are dangerous to your plants as they suck most of their food and destroy actual plants. You should remove them with deep digging as they have normally long roots and if removed from the surface, they could appear again and again.

  • You should gather all the dry leaves and flowers from the surface of the soil and throw it away. This is necessary at the start of winter as there is heavy dropping of dry leaves in it. Use these dried leaves afterward for making of compost; I will describe it later in fertilizer section.
