Scientifically, there are many types of plants but when we are discussing at home level, we do not require such difficult terms. All you need to know at the start is that there are two types of plants i.e. hard stem and soft stem plants. Though they're less hard and Frost hard, Tender and other kinds but we will initially limit two types.  Hard stems plants need less care while soft stem needs a lot of maintenance. They need proper water, adequate fertilizers, and suitable sunshine.

How to grow a Kitchen garden

Mostly, at home, we prefer to grow vegetables, flowers, and decorative vines or creeper plants. Vegetables are often with soft stems and need full attention in the primary stage, but once grow up they give you the reward of your hard work. Secondly, there are hard stem plants that do not require much attention. Although they require proper water, light, and fertilizers but many times they even not bother towards your omissions and oversights.

GO STEP BY STEP

When you are planning to start a home or kitchen garden, it is suggested to start with some decorative and hard stem plants. They are manageable and easy to handle. The best choice is flower plants like Rose, Jasmine, Hibiscus, and Lilly etc. When you get familiar with them and their needs, now it is the time to step forward. At the start, you should begin with one or two vegetables. Try to grow them in containers or pots, take a proper tour of seeds, seedlings, plants, water, fertilizer, light and final results. These all steps make you expert for more. If you feel suitable to start with more, do not hesitate and step forward and come to the exciting world of kitchen gardening.

PREPARATION OF NEXT STEPS

In the meanwhile, if you want to grow organic vegetables and plants, you should prepare organic compost at your place. This is a time taking procedure but gives excellent results. I will provide the information regarding compost and its procedure on my coming blogs. For a good start, purchases DAP and NPK fertilizers. These are granular form and good for plants grow and nourishment.  Gather all relevant information that you need on this joyous voyage. Buy initial tools that are hand trowel, spade, water-can, hose etc.
